It has been an exciting and productive week for HTG, as our directors, Stuart and Kevin, spent time at the Verkada headquarters becoming fully certified Verkada Engineers on the Verkada Essentials platform. This hands-on experience is another great step forward in our mission to stay at the cutting edge of security technology and deliver outstanding results for our customers.
The Verkada Essentials training programme provides in-depth knowledge of installation, configuration, and system optimisation. By fully immersing themselves in the platform, our directors have gained a detailed understanding not just of how Verkada products work, but how to get the very best out of them in real-world environments. This means HTG is even better positioned to design, install, and support solutions that truly deliver.

Stuart wasted no time in putting his new certification into action, getting started straight away on the Verkada installation at HTG HQ. This real-world deployment has been a fantastic opportunity to put everything into practice and further build on that knowledge.
One of the standout elements of the project has been the installation of the AF64 Access Station Pro, an exciting new device that will be available to the UK market later in 2026. Enabling seamless, secure access with Face Unlock technology, crafted with precision, the AF64 combines a multi-technology reader, video security camera, interactive touchscreen, and access controller in a single device.
Getting early access to this technology puts HTG in a strong position to explore its capabilities, understand how best to install and configure it, and be fully prepared for when it becomes available to our customers.
For Stu, installing the system internally was a key priority. Building the solution from the ground up provides invaluable insight into how everything works in practice, from initial setup through to fine-tuning performance. This hands-on experience means that future customer installations can benefit directly from his expertise, helping to ensure seamless rollouts and excellent results every time.
Once the installation is fully completed across the site, we will be inviting our customers to experience the technology first-hand and see the system in action within a live environment. This will also be supported through a collaborative open day with Verkada, giving attendees the opportunity to explore the platform up close, ask questions, and gain valuable insight into how these solutions can be applied to their own environments. It’s a great opportunity to showcase what’s possible and share our knowledge with those looking to take their security systems to the next level.
